2. What's with the name?
We envision CityPoynt to be the focal point or place where people go to for anything about the city, but for the name to have that distinct Pinoy ring to it. So instead of using point, we opted for poynt, the same way that we spell Maynila(for Manila) in Tagalog.
3. Who are you guys?
CityPoynt is powered by our sister company, 9dotStrategies. It was established by Filipino entrepreneurs who wish to share the best of the Philippines to the world, primarily with the use of the internet and social networking media.

5. Do you charge a membership fee?
No. Signing up as a member is absolutely free. You can also access our online blog, business directory and other site features at no cost.
6. Is CityPoynt a safe website, or are you one of those annoying spammers?
The safety of our clients is our utmost priority. We partner only with established merchants and use safe payment methods such as Paypal.
7. What do you need my credit card information for?
Credit card information is used for payment and authenticity verification (if you choose that payment option). Rest assured that we do not store this discreet information post-payment. Our banking partners handle your secured information with secrecy.
8. What do you need my email address for?
We send out regular newsletters to our members for updates on promos, site upgrades and other important information. Email addresses are handled with confidentiality and are not used for any other purpose or handed over to third party establishments.

10. Will I be billed as soon as I register as a member?
No. Subscriptions are free. You will only be billed every time you authorize a deal purchase using your CityPoynt account. No purchases, no charges.
11. How can I log on to your website?
Simply enter your username and password on the Log In field located at the upper right hand corner of the page. You may also sign in using your Facebook account.
12. What distinguishes you from other group buying sites?
More than group buying, CityPoynt is out on a mission, and that is to build strong and reliable online communities that make it possible to discover and share the Philippines. Our deals, blog content, user ratings and reviews, are all about Filipinos and the Philippines, exclusively made by Filipinos, for Filipinos. Too, our site comes with an extensive business directory that allows consumers to easily reach businesses in the country.
We want only the most credible merchants for our members, thus we stick to a few top performers, versus sacrificing quality for quantity.
2. I want to purchase today's deal. How do I do that?
To purchase a deal, you must first log in as a member. Then, click on the Buy Now button, provide the required information, pay for your order, print out your voucher, and voila! Purchase complete!
3. I just bought a voucher from CityPoynt. How do I use it?
Once you've made a successful purchase, a soft copy of the deal voucher shall be sent to your email address. Print the voucher and bring the print out to your desired location for redemption. Other merchants require prior reservation, so always check the deal's terms and conditions.
4. Do I need to use the voucher on the day it was purchased?
No. All deals have their corresponding redemption period, and you may use your voucher anytime during this period. Please make it a point to check for the voucher's redemption period prior to purchase.
5. Can I give the voucher as a gift?
Absolutely. If you are planning to give a voucher away, just click on the "Gift" Option and enter the recipient's name during Step 2 of the checkout process.
6. Can I use the remaining value or get a refund for unused portions of a voucher?
Sorry, but we do not offer cash-back credits, refunds or re-use on unused portions of a voucher. Once you've redeemed an item or service, your voucher is automatically treated as entirely used and may no longer be used for a repeat visit.
7. Can I use a Senior Citizen Card or other promos together with my voucher?
Unless otherwise specified in the terms and conditions, vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with Senior Citizen Cards and other discounts.
8. Can I return or cancel my voucher?
You may cancel your order anytime during the purchasing process, PROVIDED you haven't clicked confirm yet on the payment details. Once you've paid for the deal, the voucher is considered sold and inapplicable for return.
9. What happens if I purchase a voucher and the business closes down before I'm able to redeem my voucher?
Don't fret. If anything like that happens, CityPoynt guarantees a full refund of your payment.
10. Do you require a minimum number of buyers for deals to push through?
Unlike other group buying sites, CityPoynt focuses on providing more people the opportunity to experience our incredible deals. We have ditched the minimum-number-of-members policy, and instead stuck with a deadline when our members can purchase deals.
11. Do I need to recruit people to be able to buy deals?
It would be great if you could invite friends to join as members, but we do not require you to "recruit" in order to buy deals. As long as you are logged in as a member, you may buy any deal you want..

To invite, go to our website, "Click invite friends and get deals for free", and then type in a friend's email or import them from your contacts. The more e-mails you type or import, the more poynts you earn!
Write a review
To write a review, go to our website and click the directory tab. Locate the particular business you want to write a review for from the list, or type the business name or location in the search fields. Once you have the business you want, just click write a review and start expressing your thoughts!
Purchase a deal
To make a purchase, visit our homepage at www.citypoynt.com and log in. Select Hot Deals or All Deals to browse through our wide selection of deals available, then click buy. All you need to do now is select the number of voucher(s) you want to purchase, who the vouchers are for and where you like to redeem your voucher, and pay!
Choose from our current payment methods, including G-cash, Cash Sense, and credit cards.
A voucher is then sent to your provided e-mail address. This will serve as your proof of purchase. Print out the voucher, and present it to your chosen establishment for redemption.
